What is NDA-KO?
NDA-KO is literally what its name stands for: Home in Lingala. A home for anyone that feels like they haven’t found a place in Amsterdam where they feel celebrated, inspired, or genuinely connected like they belong.
At NDA-KO, we aim to shed light on Black creators, innovators, and thinkers who are shaping the Culture.
Our mission is to bring people together through joy and transport them on a journey through their five senses.
Each month, we will host events highlighting those contributing and building an equitable future for us all. We’ll explore our DNA and celebrate our different heritages through food, music and thought-provoking conversations.
Join us, if you’re ready for your home away from home.
Boye malamu na NDA-KO. Welcome Home.
OUR BLUEPRINT
OUR BLUEPRINT
Our Home was designed with the idea that the Western world needs a space where people of Afro descent are given the opportunity to expose their craft to the masses but also are given the chance to create, get inspired, and mingle with like-minded individuals in a safe space.
At NDA-KO, we believe that diversity of minds and openness help create a better world. That’s why, with our four pillars, we want to take you to our homes and share with you our cultures, our food, our infectious joy, and the values we hold dear to our hearts.
Each month, we will be hosting activations in Amsterdam, taking you on a journey with some incredible Black Change Agents that are helping reshape the narratives around our community. We will explore different Afro cultures (from Africa to the Caraïbes, Asia, and South America) through food, music, fashion, art, and thoughtful conversations.
Be ready to be transported around the globe and discover or rediscover unique flavors with your five senses.
-
THE KITCHEN
With our Afro food fusion, we want to transport you around the globe and make your culinary journey unique with flavors from home.
-
THE BASEMENT
We want to bring enjoyment to your life by finding any reason to blast music, gather together and celebrate on and off beat to your favourite songs.
-
THE CLOSET
Sapologue or not, we are known to rock the latest apparel and set the trends. Here, we will make sure you’ll keep your game up.
-
THE LIBRARY
As a community, we thrive to inspire and to be inspired by the creators and innovators that are shaping the way we experience life.
